Judith Bailey responds in January 21 Herald Article!  [more...]
[The administration responds in this article as we would expect.  They have made a decision and they must stand by it.  We recognize that they are in a very difficult situation.  They must cut expenses somewhere.  We disagree, however, with how those cuts were made.  We also believe we were not given sufficient time to prepare and present fiscally responsible alternatives.  The administration's response is no different than the responses at Eastern Michigan,  Miami, Dartmouth (swimming), and Princeton (wrestling).  All of these schools,  eventually, through constant pressure, brought back their sport.  It really comes down to who can outlast the other.   DON'T GIVE THEM THAT PLEASURE!!]
