Ira James MurchisonIn 1956 Ira Murchison was the fastest person out of the blocks in the world. He was selected to lead off the US Olympic 4x100 team at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. That team won the Gold Medal and set a new World Record. In 1954 and 1957-58 Ira was a student and athlete at Western Michigan University. |
